For my design ideas, I have decided to combine my favourite features from my 3 chosen photographers, who are Dennis Pedersen, Sarah Graham and Joel Penkman.
I hope to produce some images which;
- Are interesting and quirky,
- Show plenty of bright, vivid colours,
- And have clean, quiet backgrounds to enhance the main object(s).

ANALYSING MY WORK:
Conker Trolley.
This photograph was primarily taken in the style of Dennis Pedersen which can be seen by the quirky use of objects in the picture. It can also be seen that part of Joel Penkman's style has been incorporated here with the clean, white background. The simple background makes the trolley of conkers the main focus of the image. The amount of light in this photo makes it have a higher quality due to it being clear. GLOWING TOMATOES.
This photo is taken in the style of Joel Penkman and Sarah Graham. Without the filter applied, this photo would be a basic, dull image of some tomatoes but because the glowing edges filter has been applied in photoshop, it is much more compelling. |
Cake On Chair.
This photo, taken in the style of Joel Penkman and Dennis Pedersen combines the use of quirky objects and simple backgrounds to enhance the image. The light casts interesting shadows on the right side of the image as the light retreats from the top right corner. The low angle positioning of the camera and light emitting from the bottom left corner makes the chair and cake look larger than it actually is. The objects tower over the camera, making them look powerful. CAKE.

BLENDING IMAGES TOGETHER:
For this final piece, I layered the two images from above on top of each other in Adobe Photoshop. The two layers merged together well as they were both slightly faded so the background could also be seen. As image 1 is wider than image 2, I duplicated it so image 2 can be seen twice in the final piece, on the left and on the right.
